In 1996 a musical combo called AVAR was formed by Pouya and a few of his colleageugs consisting of Farzam, Shahrooz whom were basically contributing lyrics to the music. The outcome of this get together was an album called “ Water & Fire” which was distributed with immense difficulty at that time.

Approximately ten concerts were held by this energatic group in various concert halls in Tehran. During this time Pouya also acted as the key boardist and back vocalist for a group called MEERA.

Still another group called “ E-mazH” was formed by pouya and his friends consisting of Iman, Arash, Pouya, Alireza and Dara. This group basically played Blues, Jazz as well as standards. E-mazH took part in around twenty concerts in Tehran.

Being a member of the musicions accompanying Googoosh , Iranian Diva, in the second tour of Concerts in Europe, provided Pouya with valuable experience. The tour took place in Bremen, Stockholmm's Global Arena, Zenith Hall of Paris, State Hall of Vienna, and Wembley Arena of London. This tour later was later extended to Tunesia, Dubai and as far as Toronto, in Canada.

In 2002 Pouya became Musical Director of Dr. M. Esfahani, another top rated Iranian Male Singer. Up to this date, Pouya has no less than 250 concerts to his credit travelling with Dr. Esfahani to various destinations throughout Iran.

Pouya's joint effort with Dr. Esfahani has produced a hit tune called “ Havaye To “ which is almost daily broadcasted by the Iranian State Radios.

Another Album called “Rawz” is the joint effort of Pouya and Miss Roya Mir Fakhraiee whom has written lyrics and perforemed the poetry.
Collaboration of Pouya with Mr. Alireza Eftekhari, yet another well known Iranian Traditional Singer, was started in an album called “ Shokoohe Eshgh” ( Glory of Love) in two tracks called “Del Ra Bebin” and “Chelcheleh”. These two tracks have also found their place among the popular tunes aired daily by the State Radios. Melodies of these tunes were written by Mr. Fereydoon Khoshnood and orchestration is arranged by Pouya.

In the latest Album of Mr. Eftekhari called “ Mah Tora Chaker ” Pouya has arranged three different pieces uniqly styled which is now in the final stages of production.

Pouya has also collaborated with a number of other Iranian Singers. In 2003, Pouya he was commissioned to mix and master an album called “ Pirhan Meshki” for Mr. Reza Sadeghi. A Track called “ Donya Ba Mast” in the new album of Mr. Sadeghi is the latest collaboration between the two artists. This track was top rated for seven consecutive weeks in Radio Javan.

Since 2002 Pouya has also been collaborating with Mr. Amir Yal Arjmand. An album called “ Hamisheh Ashegh” is the outcome of this collaboration. Pouya has arranged orchestration for the melodies written by Amir Yal and his father, a first rate Iranian TV and screen actor. This album has yet to be produced. Amir Yal has also written melodies for three tracks of Pouya's own pending album.

In addition to working with various artists, and writing score for the sound track of local TV series, Pouya has also been working, for the past four years, on his own album lyrics being written by Miss Roya Mir Fakhraiee, Amir Yal Arjmand, etc.. Sample songs can be heard on the Web Site.

The new members of Avar Group are now holding practice sessions for a festival to be held in Tir at “Farhangseraye Aras Baran” to perform Pouya's compositions.

Various group and individuals, such as Peter Sloeimanipour and his group, Bahram Aghakhan, Abrang Group, will be taking part in the festival playing Fusion, and Fleminco Jazz.
